Gray Masks

in Section Four: The Villains!

Here are gathered NPCs who are antiheroes, mercenaries with a moral streak, or other sorts of sometimes-hero sometimes-villain characters. They all have costumed identities of some sort: some are secret, some are public, and some you just KNOW that this "civilian" is that "masked menace" but you'll never prove it.

Gray Masks are not current Player Characters.
A Player Character's past might include a history of having been a Gray Mask who is now trying to adhere to a more ethical philosophy and Motivation. Mark Spector was a Gray Mask mercenary before he became the leader of SpectorCorp by day and masked mystery man Moon Knight by night.
A Player Character might become a Gray Mask as a Subplot, during which time they will be an NPC in the story under Game Master control. If and when they find their way back to a moral outlook, they may well get taken up again by their original Player.

Gray Masks might be members of some heroic Supergroups. Wyldfire has some Gray Mask members. Knights Vigilant are a common destination for former Gray Masks in the New York City metroplex. Watchmen are not now and have never been Gray Masks.

Tales of Justice is a work of pure, unabashed fiction. In fact, it considers itself rather heroic and quite proud of itself. Names of characters, places, events, organizations, and locations are creations of the author's imagination for this fictitious setting. Some have been inspired by other sources, which will be credited at the top right of the article.   Permission is not granted to use this material to feed a so-called Artificial Intelligence chatbot.   Any resemblance to persons living, dead, or reanimated is coincidental. The opinions expressed are those of the characters and should not be confused with either of the authors, since the characters and authors tend to disagree a lot.   Unless otherwise stated, all artwork and content are © CB Ash and Jarissa Venters, 1993-2024, All Rights Reserved.
Original CSS "Comic" theme comes from Oneriwien but has been adapted/modified and expanded by Kummer Wolfe
