Dwarf

Dwarves are the native inhabitants of Nabu. While they originally evolved in the ever moving terminator, they soon learned that life underground offered more stability. For millennia the dwarven civilizations delved deep into the earth, excavation colossal caverns and carving statues, friezes, and buildings into the living stone. Eventually the dwarven civilizations were united under Loghaire, the Burning Tyrant. Once united, the Tyrant led his armies to the surface to seize the Sumerian Star Empire's bases. From there, the dwarves spread out, overthrowing Urashi rule and claiming the solar system as their own. The so called Tyranny lasted 200 Urashi years but did not survive its founder's death. Without a popularly supported successor, the nation soon fragmented. In time, the dwarves were driven off each world, and their influence waned. Today, the dwarves are known primarily for their industrial expertise. Their robust manufacturing sector has made Nabu one of the wealthiest planets, and dwarven goods are widely traded in markets across An-Shar.   Dwarves average 130 to 145 cm in height. They are stockier than humans. Having evolved on a high gravity world, they naturally have denser bones and more muscle mass than humans. Their compact frames give them a bonus to acrobatics. Having evolved in the twilight of Nabu's terminator, they can see better than humans in dim light but worse in bright light.
