Tales of Anshar A Science Fantasy Game Set in an Alternate Version of the Sol System

Created by

Tales of Anshar is a space fantasy setting centered around an alternate version of our solar system which is populated by traditional western fantasy species. The technology level is advanced, with spaceships capable of routinely traveling between worlds. The magic level is lower than standard dungeon fantasy, however, with many forms of magic being rare and/or dangerous.   Unlike my Sidereal Wars setting, the focus in Tales of Anshar is on gun combat over fantasy martial arts action, and magic is stigmatized.   Overview:   The solar system is in a transitional period. The Autocratic and oppressive regime known as the Dwarven Tyranny that ruled much of the system for 109 years collapsed seven years ago after the death of its leader, the Flame Tyrant Loghaire. Many new states have emerged or reestablished themselves in this time, however many of these newer states are run by unstable governments with untested institutions. Those states who were able to quickly organize have leapt ahead, but An-Shar remains largely decentralized and chaotic.   Inspirations:   Music:   Literature:
