Edwin is a hummingbird winger. Edwin wasn't always a winger and it shows in his wonder and appreciation of flight, someone who can't remember a time without the ability to fly tends to take it for granted.
Married the love of his life [a non-winger], and takes every opportunity to share about them. They are a Fae.
Knows EVERYONE in the rookery by name and everyone knows and loves him too.
2058.08.20 he got his wings at the age of 22 in one of the first recorded instances of a Spontaneous Magicallity Events [SME]. This is now termed Transformation.

Personal history
Edwin was born to Mellissa & Riley Marsh, on May 7 in the year 2036. He was born perfectly normal, not even an odd eye color, despite being in the midst of magic coming back. This was much to the releif of his parents who didn't want him to be bullied, for any oddness he night show.
As a child Edwin often wondered at the kids who had horns, or wings, or any other unique traits. He found that more often then not he was jealous of their cool traits, he was especially jealous of those who could fly. However, his very kind nature made it so he channeled his jealousy into more constructive outlets. Like asking his winged classmates to take pictures of him from high in the air, or to describe what flying felt like. When one winged classmate said it felt like running, because they lacked a better description, Edwin clung to it.
When Edwin Reached middle school he decided to join the Track & Field team, if only to chase the feeling of what it would be like to fly. It became a passion for Edwin fairly quickly. He especially loved the Pole Vault, as he believed that flying must be like the moment of extended hang-time. He excelled in his chosen sport for a good long while, throughout all of high school, even working to give chances on the team for those who were excluded because of their 'gifts'. Edwin became a very loved figure within the communities he touched, and was offered many scholarships from many different schools.
In college he met the love of his life fairly early. He tried his best to woo them, but the big grand gestures were not what won him their heart. It was all of his small heartfelt actions that won over his eventual spouse. He also decided that he wanted to work with people who needed support. It was during the last few months of his college years that the event that would really change and shift his life would occur. It would be MUCH later that he and those friends who were around for what happened to understand what actually happened. On the last day of the track and field events in his senior year Edwin would notice an unattended child about to be run down by the competitors on the track at the time. Without a second's hesitation he ran at the kid, trying to go faster and faster so that he could rescue the kid from being run down, or the runners being hurt. This striving fell alongside his natural nature of protecting kids, and others, and in a rare case he spontaneously developed wings. Hummingbird wings to be specific, which burn a lot of calories. He was lucky his partner [future spouse] Acanthus, had brought a lot of mini cupcakes. The rest of the events were cancelled and the field was quarantined and examined as thoroughly as Edwin himself was. He had always wanted to be like his mom [a teacher] with this in mind and all the time from being a scientific marvel [science project] he got himself a degree in Child Psychology.
His new features didn't go unnoticed by the population, and he was interviewed and studied for a while because he was a fairly obvious 'late blooming magical entity'. It was because of this media presence, that he was put into contact with one Salamanca Franklin. At first it was just an offer to help aid him in figuring out how to use his wings, but they became friends fairly quickly. Eventually Sals offered him a Job where he would be able to help people, and have room for his Fae partner. He accepted the offer and the rest is history. He is in the same job he was when he started, because he loves it. His job is to be the person that beginning couriers can go to for help, advice, and support.
Three years after getting the Rookery job, he handmade a ring and proposed to Acanthus. They happily accepted. And the two have been Married for a good long while.
