After 3 years of symbolic, unenforceable restrictions, the governments of the United States and Arleaon officially allow free passage between their territories. Most governments of the two worlds follow suit.

The barricades separating Three Kings and the City of Light are dismantled and burned on the 3 year anniversary of the Event, in what one politician describes as “Far closer to a reminder of the fires following that day of horrors than I think anyone planning this celebration really expected”. Nonetheless, Free Passage is a resounding success. Despite the fact that thousands (perhaps 100x that) have already crossed the Divide to make permanent homes on the other side, masses of people cross in both directions, submitting to the official census and immigration process agreed upon by both governments. Some factions remain outspoken on both sides, most notably the Caith’loral Dynasty elves who fear even greater numbers of humans and further pressure against their southern border.   There are still restrictions on the use of magic and technology in the other worlds. Anti-magic groups within the United States still force strong restrictions on magic use en-masse. Similarly, large-scale use of technology without proper permits in the World of Magic can result in expulsion or worse. However, personal use of magic or technology for self-defense is generally accepted.
