Freedom Festivities

The Freedom Festivities is the prime festival of the cursed who live within the Southern Marshes. It is almost the holy day for them. Primarily it is used to integrate new cursed into society and hold the rest together. Many of the cursed are from very different species, and the only thing that makes them the same is that all of them are cursed. This festival is held mainly in the marshes where the biggest cursed community can be found. However, in the last few years, word of the festival spread all around Tacillia, and in somewhat tolerant countries like the Calamor Empire or the Aerie, the cursed living there celebrate this event too.
The main reason for the festivities is to bring the community together. So eat, drink, and have fun. However, there are three essential parts of the event.
One is the introduction of cursed rescued since the last festival. Although many of the new cursed are known already, this is when they will be part of the community. During their introduction, they show their abilities which can vary from changing the color of their eyes to sucking the life energy from the ground, destroying every plant and aminal life in the area.
The second major part of the event is a new one. Recently cursed met with the degenerate descendants of humans, elves, dwarves, and other species. The cursed were surprised to learn about art, which the degenerates still practiced, even in their current stage. Except for a couple of individuals, art is not supported to be exercised on Tacillia. Many cursed quickly learned their skills could be used for something else, not just to live through the day. Like the one who was shaping earth to have trees cut down easier now shapes clay to become statues. Or the one who blow away poisonous gases now blows the winds through reeds of different length and makes music with it. Or the one shunted even by the cursed because he continuously oozed black slime and now uses this slime to paint pictures. Through art, the leaders of the cursed hope they can convince the nations of Tacillia that they can be used for different things, not just war and destruction.
The third part of the festival is to elect the community's leaders until the next festival. Both civilian and military. Civilians tend to change regularly because they work closer to the cursed, and everyone knows who is doing a good or bad job. The military leaders tend to remain the same, especially the more notable figures like Slokog. And there is no question that the supreme leader will always be the Judge.
I don't care how they try to present themselves. They are still monsters in my eyes
