Originally designed by the AI MAGNUS to be the housing chassis for 'him' to download into. A freak combination of events sparked a sentience to be born into the body as MAGNUS completed downloading.
Unable to sieze control back from the invasive conscience, MAGNUS opted to act as guide, mentor, and liaison.
Drawing from the memory stores of his AI, 'Droid' - later affectionately known as 'Quisi' - quickly found his bearings in combat. Working with the other members of Virus, he aided in the subversion of the Bionic Technocracy from within as MAGNUS had intended.
Once all secretly produced upgrades had been collected from around different military production facilities, and installed; Inquisitor-class Droid.777 became the highest pinnacle of technology produced by the Bionic Technocracy.
During the height of the conflict betwen the Bionic Technocracy and Varish, Gregory Sorakov gave the order to fire Vessa. The enormous planet-to-planet energy cannon was never meant to be allowed to fire. Having failed in stopping him, the members of Virus had thought all was lost. Having stayed shipbound between the two sister planets, Droid lept into the path of the energy beam with his shield raised and boosted.
Jets blazing to compensate from the sheer force, shields close to failing, Droid ejected MAGNUS via lighcomm burst to the surface of Vara, where the Varan military could receive the transfer.
Initiating final overload, flaring his shields, Droid roared his final defiance. |"They will live!"| The cataclysmic resultant explosion from energy beam colliding with a detonating cyclic-reactor lit up the skies between both planets in a white, rippling wave of light and super-heated plasma.
The shockwave from the blast was felt on both planets. The backwash was so intense that Vessa was overheated, the beam it had fired being washed back into itself as it was dispersed.
The response from the Varish and Virus, soon after Droid's sacrifice, saw the first weaponised use of Morphic Antimatter.
Droid is venerated as being the saviour of Vara, sacrificing himself so soon after his coming into the world.
