The Ultimate Prophecy

The Ultimate Prophecy was the last prophecy to be spoken by Navaros, God of Fate and Prophecy. It was made after Urbos, God of the Nether demanded that Navaros prophecy his victory over the Aether Gods during The Great Aether War.

The Prophecy

Ask once, ask nonce, my answer’s the same;
You’ll find that fate s’not a beast to tame.
For if you enter the Aether above,
All that awaits is a prison, below.

The exact verbiage of the prophecy was never known, but scholars agree about its contents. Rather than predict that Urbos would defeat the Aether Gods, Navaros knew that he would fail. In an attempt to subvert his fate, Urbos transformed Navaros from a being into a weapon, creating the Blade of Navaros, and wielded it into battle. As soon as his sword crossed with that of Ilos, God of the Sun and Agriculture, the Blade of Navaros shattered. This blow crushed the morale of the Nether forces and the tide of the battle irrevocably shifted in favor of the Aether Gods. The other Nether Gods fled, but Urbos was too wounded to escape. The Aether Gods elected to imprison him, supposedly within the deepest regions of the Underdark.
