Farther inland, just within the outer gates...dirt streets and grass fields...peasants and smallfolk...lower quality taverns, stables, and housing.

Beyond the cobblestone city, the outskirts unfold as a patchwork of dirt and grass, revealing a landscape that contrasts sharply with the refined architecture of the urban center. Here, simplicity reigns, and the city's protective stone walls give way to a more modest wooden palisade, broken by three entrance gates leading North into the countryside. The scent of earth, grass, and manure lingers in the air, a departure from the salt-tinged breeze nearer the harbor.
To the North stands the Whitehaven city stables, a collection of sturdy wooden structures where horses are housed and cared for. To the west of the stables rises a large multi-story building standing in a crescent shape that appears to contain numerous living quarters. Finally, a collection of burned and damaged houses lie near the Eastern corner where the wooden palisade and stone wall meet.
