Variant

Variants are the result of a non Nola Gene powered person (Homo Ascendunt) coming into contact with the Nola Gene. With their bodies already different from normal humans, it affects them in a slightly different manner.

Transmission & Vectors

It's transmitted in the exact same manner as the Nola Gene, either ingested or into the bloodstream.

Symptoms

When people who were already supers without the Nola Gene drink the soda, it changes them. They will either become even more powerful, with the extent of their powers growing more expansive, maybe even gaining new powers. If that doesn't occur they'll degrade, either physically or mentally and mutating in some unseemly way.
