Director of Underground Cryptozoological Kindred

It is very clear that whoever the first person was in this role, they had a sense of humor. Otherwise, why go to such trouble to ensure that the initials for their job title would form into D.U.C.K.? It is unfortunate for all of us that this sense of humor has been lost in recent years. It can, of course, be argued that the organization as a whole has lost their sense of humor.

Not the Head of Epoch

With the Epoch Society being what they are, it's difficult to determine exactly how important the DUCK was meant to be, and it's interesting to look at their articles of initiation and see the steps they took to ensure that this person is not in the running to become the leader of the organization.
This is possibly due to the nature of the role, having to do with unusual specimens, to use more polite language. Since Epoch wants to change themselves into better versions of these things, it's possible they simply wanted to separate the person who had the most specific interactions with them.

People of Influence

Even if they are not specifically in charge, Epoch can do nothing without the DUCK guiding them to the specimens necessary for their work. By fair means or foul, it's the choices of this director that dictates where the society will look for their next evolution of their genetic modifications.

The Current Director

This person is unknown. The society keeps their identity as one of their most closely guarded secrets. There is minimal contact between them and Epoch, and the average member doesn't know their name or face. The nature of the recent child experimentation, as well as a few other discovered experiments, would lead us to believe that this person is of a particular morality that most of us would deem as evil, and they would likely term as pragmatic.
