Rasheed Khadran
Rasheed is a member of the Ka-Tepi town guard. Often posted on gate guard duty, he is honest and reliable without being excessively diligent. He will make a cursory check of the belongings of strangers visiting town, but will not demand a full search without cause, nor will he levy an 'entrance fee' or other bribe. He has an understated and dry sense of humour, and is a popular patrol partner with other watchstanders as he will engage in lively conversation on a wide variety of subjects to pass the time.
If travellers give him a respectably-sized gift, he will direct them to his cousin Al-Jazeed's inn, The Laughing Fountain, before sharing the largesse with any others with whom he is on duty.
