Vordakai's Tomb
Vordakai's Tomb is the foerm dwelling of the ancient Lich Vordakai. Sized for Cyclops, most hallways and rooms are twice as wide and high as usual. It is lined with enormous stone blocks in pristine condition, protected by Abjuration magic.
The top floor has a bubbling tar pit guarded by the reanimated corpse of Maegar Varn's wizard. A room filled with burial alcoves and broken pottery was guarded by Soul Eaters, followed by a room with vibrant frescos depicting a younger Vordakai, and a room with ornate stone carvings of eyes in the wall. All the engraved eyes are looking at a single central eye engraving with strong Conjuration and Divination magic. Destroying it caused Vordakai to abruptly appear, the Oculus of Abaddon cracked in the same way. It is believed that a round hole in the engraving was intended to be activated by inserting the Oculus, though its effect is unknown.
A level down, the spirit of Willas Gundarson was found near a Cyclops crypt, and his corpse was found inside said crypt. A large dining hall nearby was found with an enormous table and over 30 corpses seated around it. The bodies appeared to be some of Varnhold's population, lobotomized and with no obvious signs of restraint. They included Maegar Varn and his cleric. Pharasma judged all of them and only allowed Maegar Varn's soul to return to his body, as he had not fulfilled his part of her plan yet.
Elsewhere on this floor is a shrine to Charon, the Horseman of Death, in the way of a set of bronze doors. Oil lamps and cups facilitate a blood offering ritual, opening the door without performing the ritual causes freezing blue flames to cover the floor and stupefy anyone caught in them. Friezes on the walls depict animal-headed creatures marching towards quarts statues of Charon. Beyond this shrine is a prison guarded by Vordakai's highest servant, a Piscodaemon who was bound to him through the Oculus of Abadon and forced to serve him for the last thousand years.
Another level down, a burbling fountain contained a Water Elemental, and beyond that, Vordakai's throne room. An octagonal chamber with a 20' summoning circle appears to be how Vordakai brings people into his tomb; the circle has an overwhelming aura of conjuration and divination magic, and that the boundary between this room and another plane (likely Abaddon) is particularly thin. With this summoning room and the Oculus of Abaddon, it's likely he was able to summon Fiends and even the entire population of Varnhold.
Elsewhere on this floor is a room with a now-disarmed water trap. If triggered, it will flood the lower levels of the tomb.
Lower still is a floor with a massive underwater cavern containing a River Elasmosaurus.
Vordakai's Throne room
Vordakai's throne room is littered with corpses from recent victims. His throne was made from bones and skeletons of several creatures and appears to be a shrine to the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse, before Avarice Skjegge reduced it to a pile of rubble with his hammer. His collection of treasure included several magical artifacts, some art, several panaceas, and his recovered jade ring. Opposite Vordakai's throne are a large number of person-sized stone tablets dating back to before the Age of Darkness. Carved in an archaic dialect of Joten, they detail a history of Casmaron. They depict ancient struggles and battles, Vordakai's rise to power, ancient Casmeric ruins and other places of note. They would be worth a fortune to the right historian. Vordakai had 43 sealed pots and vases in the center of an adjacent room. Each contains a person who Vordakai trapped with the Imprisonment spell. The contained victims are sustained and do not age, and reconstitute when the jar is broken or opened. It is believed that Vordakai trapped most of the citizens of Varnhold in these jars, potentially as a food source. The jars were discovered by The Constellation, though they weren't opened immediately, as it was feared that this would only endanger the occupants. When removed from the room, they shattered automatically, seemingly bound to the room in some way. The vases contain random people between 5 and 40 years old.
