Longtail Tribe
Formerly consisting of "many" Lizardfolk, the tribe is now just a dozen or so individuals. They live in Longtail Village and are ruled by King Vesket, though they have pledged fealty to The Land of the Silver Star.
Following the disastrous episode with Stisshak, the tribe has been slowly recovering, but they are still struggling. They have become less offensive and more defensive.
Despite living on a river and next to a lake, they do not have any boats.
Recent History
The tribe believed that the Will-o'-wisps on Tuskwater Lake are ancient spirits of their tribe. One of them, calling itself Stisshak, took the form of a previous chief and convinced Vesket that it was an ancestral warrior spirit watching over them. Vesket began following the terrible advice of Stisshak, such as eating their own eggs as a solution to their food problems, and getting into fights they couldn't win. Stisshak fed on the tribe's despair as he slowly lead the tribe to ruin. The tribe's shaman, Kagar, believed the spirit was not legitimate and was guiding the tribe to destruction. Stisshak had Kagar beaten and kicked out of the tribe, replaced him with the incompetent and unquestioning Shalur. Kagar asked The Adventurers for help. They entered the village and determined that the spirit was malicious, but were unable to convince anyone to abandon its worship. Enraged at the eating of the eggs, The Adventurers got into a fight they couldn't win. They retreated, but Alain Orlovsky was captured in the process. Kiede returned to rescue Alain, killing Stisshak in the process. Badly injured and rejected by the village, The Adventurers left. With Stisshak dead, Kagar returned to the village to explain the situation and piece things back together. He was eventually reinstated as shaman. After a month of Kagar insisting the Stisshak was gone, Vesket and the tribe's warriors approached Ornisk and apologized. They expressed shame at eating their own eggs (which had clearly upset The Adventurers), returned Alain's possessions, and invited the adventurers to partake of their hospitality if they were ever in the area again.
