United Earth Sphere
The original federated parliamentary super state that formed in the face of long term climate and colonial concerns. Originally unified in combat against the climate crisis, the organization was reformed in the post-sacristy unity of the space age. They now stay unified by the same sacristy thought solved. With the western Hemisphere rendered hostile to human life due to The First Wave of the Xenophage, and left reeling from the barely stopped Second Wave, Earth struggles under the yoke of its former colonies. However, its people are hardy, willing to push forward no matter what, and Earth itself, is still the same cradle of humanity, no other world will ever be.
Structure
The United Earth Sphere is run by a parliamentary body of elected officials named the General Assembly. in modern times these seats as elected by each sub state with equal representation. The Assembly than elects a General-Secretary to lead the body in its decision making. This body governs a vast amount of federated power, all military of the nations of earth operate under its authority and that of the Security Council, a emergency body elected by the Assembly that handles issues requiring direct attention.
Culture
The modern culture of the UES can be described as tired, pour, but proud. The people of earth have dealt with many troubles and continue to deal with the poverty crisis of the resource drained, damaged, and overpopulated mother planet. However this, along with the mixing of populations due to the mass of western refugees build a unified sense of earthness, of reliance on one another. On earth is not uncommon to see people share their precious wealth and food with one another, and the grim realities faced head one. Though one can not know for sure, these is a feeling, that if not thrive, this is humanities home and they will not lose it.
Public Agenda
The UES' priorities remain with the safety and security of its home nations, and the acquiring of resources and means to help those living on it. Many within earths government also wish to reclaim the lost continents of north and south america from the Xenophage who stalk its toxic lands and silent jungles.
History
In the early 2050s the climate change disaster began spinning out of control. Facing utter systems collapse after the fracturing of the PRC, the nations of earth radically restructured the UN to act as a true super federalized government tasked with the healing of the very planet. The UES was founded first as a primarily space management body of the UN, seeking to use the resources of the solar system to heal earth. Space technology consumed budgets once formally for the militarizes of a now desperate earth. Agreements were met to share the resources of space evenly between nations by population, and soon an era of fear and uneased was followed by a golden age of post scarcity.

The Xenoinfection a hostile alien illiness that infects, kills and then reanimates it's host into swarms of creatures called the Xenophage rode into the system on the remains of alien vessels, puncturing Neptune and directly flying for earth. Faced with an alien threat and utter devastation, the UES thought to hold this wave in orbit over Mars. The fighting here would be devestationg, and eventually the swarm broke through the ill prepared and under trained UES navy. The fleet could not fully regroup around earth before the swarm struck, falling from orbit on most major cities in north and south America, New York most of all. Millions perished, two continents worth of people were displaced. Earths colonies closed their doors in fear, and earth itself was left to rot.
But earth did not parish. It's people, perhaps hardened by memory of the climate crisis, or shocked by the horrors of alien invasion, opened their doors to refugees. packed their already dense cities. Offered what meagre food was needed. The Government now headed in Beijing did its best to hold what they could of the new world, and settle and protect the rest. It was not easy, but as the sun set, rose, and set again, earth lived. Humanity survived. The UES remained. Abandoned by her colonies, the UES struggled to keep its stations in line. Denounced the Human Elevation Foundation as criminals and the Martian Defense Front as traitors. What was lost was painfully rebuilt and though poverty remained a constant shadow, the spirit was unbroken. It would be tested again by The Second Wave. Warned by the enigmatic Celestial Connection of it's coming, the remainder of the UES fleet prepared to face off against the end of the world. They spared not ounce of effort pleading those whom had abandoned them before to come to earths aid now. Their arrival, and the battle that followed has become known as the Battle of the Beijing Miracle. By the end thousands of ships burned, the capitol though evacuated was reduced to a radioactive lake. Yet, the whole of the continent, the planet remained. The Xenophage was defeated. Humanity won. Hope was not ill-placed.
The capitol was moved to Lagos for a while, then eventually Sydney where it remains. Either the swarm targeted the capitol, or large population centers, as such it was determined that Sydney would put only one continent at risk, and if it was population that attracted them, the population was so low that if the worst were to occur, the government would remain functioning. Poverty has remained a major issue, as has the tension between traditional humans and infected. Trade has opened between all major factions of the system and earth, however with the Foundation holding their bases on Luna and the MDF ceasing formerly UES asteroids has meant rising tensions. Facing these threats the UES as courted alliance with the CC building trade and defense bonds. Yet, I can't help but worry if this growing factionalism is the wrong lesson to take from the end of the Second Wave.

Technological Level
Earth has largely lagged behind in the field of science compared to the other factions, however the industrial technological accomplishments of its former golden age are widely still used throughout the system.

Freedom of Religion is enshrined in the UES Charter.
Foreign Relations
The UES has fostered a positive relationship with the Celestial Connection having signed a promise of autonomy with the CC as a response to the MDF and Foundation Peace Partnership. The idea of joining the CC has been floated more than once, but does not enjoy popular support.
The Martian Defense Front and earth have uncomfortable peaceful relations, Earth having acknowledged them as a separate power but accused them of many land grabs on Luna and the Asteroid Belt. Yet neither power seems willing or able to risk anything other than public white paper condemnations of one another.
Formally the International Criminal Court has charged the Human Elevation Foundation with crimes against humanity of their genetic projects, but this charge is mostly a formality. The two nations have deeply chilled but functional trade relations warmed only slightly by the Battle of the Beijing Miracle.
