Sol System

Venus

Venetian equipment has a very simple aesthetic. Function is more valuable than form, resulting in trimmed designs that contain only the necessary parts.

Ogron gear is made from as much natural material as possible. As such, most of their technology uses natural plant material instead of metal, often crafted to resemble natural growth. The Tusk-breaker tree of Venus are stronger than steel, and commonly used in it's place.

Felans use anything they can get their hands on. Emotional attachment to individual items also applies to their component parts. It's not unlikely to see a Felan using a devices with components from 6 other designs.

Varani equipment is of very limited technological development. They have developed an innate sense for the best native materials, often more ornate than Venetian, more useable than Ogron.

Earth

Human gear takes two paths, stripped down to the indestructible bones, or excessive decoration. One might wield a pistol that exposes everything to open air, or a blade that has silver filigree on the microscopic level.

Androids develop gear with the intent to integrate. While it may have a standard handle, a pistol will also have at least 3 ways to interface with a robotic shell.

Designed with battle in mind, Spartan gear is rugged and durable. Expect excess bulk of varying hardness, enough to ensure it keeps working forever.

The aquatic sentients of Earth work with a singular technological goal, adapting the works of other Species for aquatic biomes. This results in very similar technologies, with necessary adaptations. Octopode do not have a creative bone in their body. Their design always mimic natural life: sleek piscine lines, deft tendrils, and a sometimes-fatal lack of understanding of gravity. Dolphins, lacking hands, leave all the design work to the much more dexterous.

Mars

Borian equipment has a sleek, industrial aesthetic. Sharp angles and pointed corners can be found on just just about everything of Borian manufacture.
