Purpose
The Strions believe that the coming of this light is a gift to them from the star Orion. To show their thanks, they put on a festival of dance in its honour. This can last for a few hours to up to a few weeks, depending on how long the light lasts. These festivals are a key part of Strionan culture.Solo Adventurers
Sometimes, a solo adventurer will stumble across the lights unintentionally. When this happens, they tend to celebrate in a more subdued fashion. Instead of dancing and singing, they may leave a Flower Message or spend some time in quiet thought.
On a planet shrouded in darkness, this heartwarming ritual felt like a ray of hope. Beautifully done - which is the reason why I picked it for my reading challenge .
