Emily Elizabeth Coombs

Spark is a heroine and member of the Sentinels, based in Paragon City. She has a youthful face and an athletic figure.
As a speedster, she's often their first responder to attacks, and is known for her enthusiasm, though she's also known for having a mercurial mood and jumping into things before fully thinking them through. In the past she has been known to lose control of her powers. According to police records, she has hospitalized two boyfriends and accidentally disabled no less than five dates over the years. She now has a device acquired from Dreamer that allows her to shut down her powers temporarily.
Spark's awakening took place when she was in high school in Massachusetts. She was in the track team and in a race one day another girl accidentally knocked her over. She was determined to catch up and pass everyone else… and then she did. She nearly electrocuted a couple of the other runners in the process, but fortunately didn’t get too close. Then she got disqualified, since powers aren't allowed in those races.
She doesn't drive.
Spark is considered a Class B superhuman.

Physical Description

Special abilities

Spark is a speedster with a focus on electrical powers. She's capable of generating massive amounts of electricity which she can unleash into creatures or objects she touches, but as it's closely tied to her emotions, she has to be careful not to hurt others as well. She's capable of moving close to four hundred miles per hour at top speed, but she cannot maintain that speed for more than an hour, which is better than most other speedsters. Most of the time she moves at closer to two hundred miles per hour, and is capable of turning almost instantly.

Apparel & Accessories

Spark wears a black and blue armored bodysuit with a lightning theme to it, and carries a pair of pistols that can project her electricity to hit enemies. More recently she acquired a device which grounds out her electrical powers, allowing her to interact with others more normally.
