Set the Scene
Koko finds a familiar job, one she knows she couldn't do before, but it's confident about now and wants to prove she understands her limits as well as she thinks she does. The gas harvester platform she failed to liberate before is back on the job board to be reclaimed again...

Too lazy or too stupid to operate the platform themselves the gang that took it over has left it abandoned in full self service automation mode as a passive income. The station is on full lockdown with a token force of the cheapest defense drones Pixels can fabricate. But since it's an extraction site, none of the defenses are space side so the whole job needs an on foot operator.

Arcana 16 - Koko knows they have all the time in the world so they land and pop open the security panel and start prodding around with the terminal. Not having any damn idea what she is doing she quickly short circuits the terminal and the civilian door fails to its safe state: open.

Arcana 12 - Koko shoots the door panel to the bunk room and it slides open, as expected this room is abandoned since no living attendants are present. This is as far as she made it last time. The rest of the platform's internals are unknown to her, and she isn't sure how much of the bulk is machinery vs habitat.

The main room is a mess of self-service panels, countertops, and office desks. This is the heart of the facility and it's... empty? The intel was bad, there is no security force here other than a few locked doors. Koko finds a tracker beacon pointing to a small capital ship in orbit around White Steppe. No one would mind if she raided it and put an and to the gang but also no is paying her to do so and raiding a capital ship with a transport seems just a little suicidal. Koko radios that the site is secure and collects on her bounty. Profits from the mission are enough to start step one of her plan. A real home ship. She scraps her transport and most of the striped down light weight internals for real full sized variants. The simple transport was replaced with a spacious 20 bunk hull with plenty of space for expansion. The ship is actually faster than her prior since she can mount for sized engines, but the bulk means wrap will be quite pricey now for fuel. However she isn't planning to leave the system for a while now. As a house warning gift for herself she got a fancy pixel printer installed. She barely knows how to use it but being able to fabricate simple cheap gear is a great investment.
