Checking the job boards and once again scrolling past the myriad list of salvage and hauling jobs, Koko finds something more her speed. A nesting burrow has appeared in a park in Briarfall. Meant to be a critter free zone in a settlement the park has been closed down by local forces but they need someone to get in and get the pair out, preferably alive. Koko accepts the job and takes the 3 day flight back, slightly annoyed by the orbital alignment and jobs aren't playing in her favor, but more annoyed there isn't going to be a trophy.

Someone somewhere in the system knows but is off world and getting a hold of them will leave the creatures even longer. So if Koko can handle reconnaissance themselves they offer the full reward and the advance, instead of taking the advance out of the reward. Koko accepts.

Stealth 17 - Koko heads into Park at dusk, hoping the creatures are nocturnal or diurnal. They find a mated pair of glowing badger-like creatures in the otherwise dark burrows and sneaks back out of the park to prepare

Using the advance and a few pixels of her own Koko acquires some disgusting plant based food specially prepared as bait, and a radiation protection salve they can apply before engaging. If they have to fight, it's not going to be pretty, but it should be manageable with the salve.

Stealth 13 - Koko sneaks quietly back into the park the next night after applying the salve and chucks the bait into the den.

Wisdom 11,17 the Badgers wake to the bait and quickly devour it but don't seem interested in begging for more and are quite weary of Koko. Trophy time!

Combat - Opening with her Cryo pistol before the animals realize they are in a fight Koko gets the drop on the creatures but they are durable and angry. The radiation resistant salve and the shadow blades which the Badgers can't see to dodge in the dark win the day with moderate bites and minimal radiation burns to show for it. Plus, a snack and a TROPHY!

The client is disappointed that it came to violence but pays out all the same. Though Koko suspects they are getting a bit less of a choice selection than they otherwise would. Some dangerous tech scrambling armor that seems very niche and an actually decently nice Impulse Engine that has been stripped and tuned, not a functional upgrade to her transport, but gives just enough space to double the tiny storage locker's space. which could be reclaimed for a very light gadget upgrade if she wanted.
