Kem Sib Jelnu is a man of deep history who has seen both sides of what the galaxy offers from the Light to the Dark. But, despite those challenges, Kem has always worked to rise above it; to not let trials and darkness drown him. Instead, he lets the wisdom of his people, and his stubbornness, be his guide in a unforgiving galaxy.
A Dark Past
Life wasn't complicated during the Clone Wars. The war burned its way across countless systems, yet never touched Kem's homeworld of Ankus. Until the Old Republic gave way to become the Galactic Empire.
In need of cheap labor, the Galactic Empire invaded many worlds. Ankus was one of those. They detained ordinary citizens either through false crimes or for no reason at all. The massive size of the Cragmoloid people made them ideal candidates for the Imperial labor camps across the galaxy. Kem was abducted and placed into one of those.
Kem didn't accept his fate quietly.
It wasn't long before Kem worked with his fellow kidnap victims to plan a way to escape. They were a determined group of people taken from many worlds, from Kashyyyk, Ryloth, Tattooine, and even his own world of Ankus. Together, they fashioned a plan. It was risky, had a high chance of failure, but they made it work.
In the end, Kem and his group broke themselves and all the inmates of Imperial Labor Camp Gamma-12 free. Kem immediately joined the Rebel Alliance with his former inmates.
The Galactic Civil War, like any conflict, eventually ended. With a tenuous peace restored to the galaxy, Kem returned to Ankus only to find that his world had been ransacked. Imperial Moffs and other officials had stolen priceless relics, cultural artifacts, from his people. Some were sold for profit, others kept in private 'collections' of Imperial officers. But to Kem, this was a wrong that he couldn't walk away from.
Since then, he has made it his profession to track down these relics and return them to his people. Kem prefers to do this peacefully, often paying a high price in credits, but at times he has resorted to violence.
