SoLA Session 4: 'Now dash away, dash away, dash away all!'

General Summary

Dec. 24 - 25, 1994
With only hours to spare before Christmas, the coterie followed some leads towards Jeanette Voerman's Santa Monica club The Asylum to get the blood of somebody on the worst day of their life. John had gotten quite hungry dealing with some cops in Archibald Blackwood's service, so they hoped to also find some good meals at The Asylum as well.    K felt right at home surrounded by so many low-lifes and degenerates, but John started to turn delirious from hunger as he struggled to find a meal fit for his dietary restrictions. The coterie's meeting with Jeanette briefly distracted from the hunger and partying, the Malkavian agreeing to grant them access to the Asylum's members-only blood supply in return for a small favor. According to Jeanette her sister was killed by some vampire hunters in Las Vegas back in August, and she would like somebody to go to Sin City and find out who killed her sister before Jeanette got a chance to do it herself. Ezekiel was hard-pressed to find any proff that Therese Voerman was dead, but him and K made some promises about taking a trip to Vegas in the new year to get the blood they needed.    It was an all-you-can-eat buffet of melancholy and depravity in The Asylum's members-only lounge, giving the coterie enough blood to give as a present to the Platinum Blonde at Elysium. The Prince of LA seemed pleased with the group's hard work, promising power and resources in return for a job well done. She even let them follow her Seneschal Opal on a delivery run later that same night to see what all the blood was being used for.    The coterie was dismayed to find out the real reason for a sudden Christmastime blood drive: it was ammunition for unprecedented levels of thin blood alchemy for an upcoming battle with LA's Anarchs. The Folk Singer had embraced some thin-bloods in the city, and despite reaching some agreement with the Platinum Blonde the Prince and Seneschal both saw the thin-bloods as nothing more than cannon fodder in a fight to push the Anarchs out of LA once and for all. The Folk Singer showed up at around this time that Opal was handing out the blood, and the coterie was not too eager to take Opal's side in this conflict.    Ezekiel blasted Opal with a shotgun, and K finished the job by diablerizing the 200-year-old Nosferatu. John took this moment as an opportunity to vanish from the scene, he'd already obtained some enlightening records from his past life from the late Seneschal and he had no reason to stick around and fight. The Platinum Blonde would not take kindly to the death of her Seneschal, so the remaining members of the coterie hatched a quick getaway to fly out to LA and create a new domain for themselves. The previous Prince of Vegas had died under unforunate circumstances, and with so many federal agents investigating the place no kindred in their right mind would risk attacking them there. Ezekiel could pull some strings to get members of Clan Giovanni to protect the Folk Singer's thin-bloods, and K would be able to convince Cesca Stirling and Nadiya to declare praxis out in Vegas. Taking the Folk Singer's private plane, they flew across into the night away from the City of Angels as the Camarilla prepared for a surprise offensive against the LA Anarchs.
