Dragon Resistance
The Dragon Resistance, sometimes called the Free Resistance, or just the Resistance, are a group of radical fighters within the Terminus Systems. The origins of the group are hard to pinpoint. One theory points at the Seerists, and their order of fire. Others say they were influenced by outside factors like the Pacifica Liberation Front or the Union of Socialist Systems. Regardless, they have now spread throughout the local galactic sector, and have declared war on almost all the governments in that sector. The Dragons primarily oppose the Covenant of Man and the Colonial Earth Empire. They work in the shadows, and ruthless hunting by the private security hit squads has made sure the resistance has remained scattered.
Nonetheless, the Dragons remain motivated to fight against what they view are essentially two sides of the same coin, and continues to grow rapidly. With every cell crushed by a Imperial security enforcement squad, or Federation assassin, another two sprout up to take its place, fueled by the great inequality present within the sector. It is even rumored that radicals within the Federation and the Republican Remnant are also funneling money, arms, and supplies to the Resistance, seeking an insurgent force to help topple their own governments.
Even now, they garner support from the outside, and rumors of the Pacifica Liberation Front and the Dragon Resistance working side by side has begun to worry not only the Corpo bosses, but also the heads of security over at the Ministry.
Structure
The overall structure of the Resistance is highly decentralized, and mostly organized on a cell by cell basis. The leadership of the Dragon Resistance supposedly resides within Wild Space, offering some manner of coordination and awareness within the resistance itself.
Unlike the Pacifica Liberation Front, there is a great amount of infighting and conflicting political groups within the Dragon Resistance, although most fall within one of three categories.
- Red Dragons are those mostly aligned with the political views of the Union, who seek to be a vanguardist force within the Great Expanse. These are the most popular, though the least organized. Most of their operations are organized on a system by system basis.
- Blue Dragons are those mostly aligned with the Republican Remnant, who seek to split the Great Expanse into a coalition of nationalistic governments that work in conjunction against the Empire.
- Green Dragons are tied directly with the Church of Seers. Within the Resistance, they are the most active on planets like Nimbam, Kalari and Tu'Kor. They have close ties with the order of fire.
- Neon Dragons are more akin to an organized crime network rather than a resistance group. They move large amounts of Spice, Stim and Slo-Mo. Their profits are usually laundered through the various other dragons, who are happy for the extra cash and weapons. In return, they provide the muscle for neon dragon operations, usually against other criminal organizations.
