Cantaro

Cantaro is a major settlement of Ocarro and the acting capital of the planet's government. It is a main trade hub for the planet and where most of the trade and travel onto the planet from off world is done.
It is a hub for modern development and culture on the planet, with traditionalism not being as common in the city. The traditional building styles and the materials of things have been mostly replaced by materials and ideas imported from off-world, although traditional styles and patterns are still somewhat present.
It is located in the Cantaro Valley Territory and is what the territory is named after.

Downtown Cantaro

Downtown Cantaro is a busy part of the city home to many businesses and offices as well home to the planet’s biggest university. The majority of the important buildings in the city are there and it is a hub of stores and restaurants as well as event centers.

University of Cantaro

The University of Cantaro, also called the Capital University, is located in the downtown district and is the largest of the few universities on the planet and teaches many different majors and courses ranging from medicine and engineering to literature and history.
The University Campus is made up of multiple different buildings and residential dorms, with numerous different buildings for all the different classes offered. It also has a cafeteria and library where people can go to eat or study in their free time.
It is a symbol of education and progress on the planet and it is considered a great source of pride and celebration in Ocarran culture to graduate from there, especially if they are from a rural area or are the first in their family.
THe front plaza is often used as a meeting point for students and teachers and is filled with well kept gardens as well as having a memorial statue of the historical ocarran president Azra Hazni.

al-Sani’s Deli

al-Sani’s Deli is a locally owned store that sells food and some groceries. It is owned by Asmun al-Sani, where the deli gets its name, and his family has a big part in running the place. It has been open for a little over two decades and is considered a hidden gem in the neighborhood.
It is located on the ground floor of an apartment building and has a street entrance where customers come in and out. It also has a kitchen and storage area in the back as well as a deli counter as well as a few aisles where people can select from the snacks or groceries available. People pay at the register at the end of the deli counter.
