Foothill

The City of Foothill had a quite unremarkable history for decades. The powerful Slabs and Scarlet Barbarian tribes of the Pandoran Mountains kept a stern eye over the city, their portal to the goods and features of the wider world. In its wide open lanes barbarians could purchase wares from the world beyond and enterprising employers could lure powerful warriors to their employ with offers of gold and power and glorious battle. Through the meddling of The Theia Commerce Group, the mad Sykoss tribe was raised up as a distraction, pulling the Slab and Scarlet tribes' focus away from Foothill. Theia interests rapidly transformed the town into a fortified company mining town, using it as a base to begin widespread excavation of the mountains. The intervention of a band of Resistance  adventurers and a subsequent strike by the Slab tribe threw the Theia operation into disarray, causing them to leave the town to its original inhabitants.
