Uchaguru

Uchaguru is a title given by the Banpouri people to the foremost spiritual leader of The Church of the Divine Monarchy, who leads the House of Sun from The City of Banpour. The Uchaguru is also considered to be the successor in a line of priests who are believed to be reincarnations of Avalok, the most trusted spiritual advisor to Banpour the Hero.
Since The Tragedy of Mamlakat Hadaan, the Uchaguru has always been a symbol of unification of the church, representing Banpouri values and traditions. This unification is the modern primary function of the Uchaguru, holding together disparate religious and regional houses that make up the faith. They work to overcome sectarian and other divisions in the community and have been facilitators of Banpouri nationhood for centuries.
