Hellirinn is a district within the Martian Republic.
Local
The government of Hellirinn, like all district governments within the Martian Republic, is run by its District Council, which consists of the Council Members who propose bills and bring up citizens concerns within the distctrict chambers; and the Martian District Governor, who manages the administractive and beuracratic dealings of the districts as well as signs into law proposals brought by the District Council. The District Representatives are voted in by the people and the governor is appointed by the Martian Secretary General. The Governorship usually changes with the term of the Secretary General.
History
It was originally the first colony on the planet, founded by the Democratic Parliament of Luna. The DPL landed robot constructors as early as 2330 to build the foundations of the new colony to be officially opened to settlers in 2333.
