The Charnel Schools

There is one place that is viewed as the height of Necromantic teachings in the known world, and it is found exactly where you'd expect it. 
Found under the banner of the Free Necropoli, the Charnel Schools are a series of educational institutions that seek to impart the knowledge of necromancy, is proper application, and it's moral implications up the greater fabric of society. 
That last part is of particular importance, as the Free Necropoli are constantly monitoring the use of their necromantic tools for mishandling, as they fear the rest of the world might turn on them should the fear of necromancy ever become too great. As such, the schools themselves are closely tied to the government of the Necropoli, and it's coursework is incredibly prohibitive, essentially allowing a teacher or prefect to expel a student at a moments notice. 
Few secrets are kept in a school that can call on the dead and spirits to answer.
