Revelor

Revelor is an ice world, found on the edge of the Kulak System .
The planet was originally given over to the Adeptus Mechanicus as a test facility where they could teach acolytes and new tech-priests the incantations required for activating such weapons that would level entire cities.
The raided and pillaged this planet when the Waaagh! arrived in system, taking with them many of the weapons and secrets the Mechanicus were guarding, as logic believed it of so insignificant interest to xenos races that a minimal garrison of Skitarii were kept on world and were easily overrun.
Not all information was taken by the Orks and later, during the events of the Von Aurach Crusade , a splinter fleet of the T'au commander Phoenix attempted to claim such information for the T'au empire and the Greater Good, only to be challenged by a combined imperial force of guardsmen from the 3rd Kuati Mobile Infantry Regiment  and Space Marines of the Emperor's Knights  Chapter, ultimately driving the T'au fleet out of system for good in what became known as the Battle for Revelor.
Following this series of skirmishes, the Inquisition's Ordo Mechanicus and as one of their punishments for their lack of properly defending an Imperial world, they relinquished control to the Departmento Munitorum  , under strict instructions not to let Revelor fall again. Promptly, the world became an active cold environment training world and maintains a permanent garrison of regiments recruited from ice worlds such as Prax and Valhalla to act as both a defence force and training cadre
