Cobalt Rush

A cobaldt rush describes the phenomena of hundreds of independent miners traveling to the site of a recently discovered Cobalt deposit and trying to get rich by it. Since Cobalt because of its magic-conductive properties and scarcity has a rising value in recent years, many people see an opportunity in mining a sizeable quantity of the ore. These rushes typically focus on less accessible areas where no mining enterprise has a claim yet.

In the last twenty years, there have been at least two Cobalt Rushes, one in the eastern Brenari Islands, one on the souther coast of Rathram, around the Port of Gems.
A third Rush seems to be just ahead in the Golgaed Mountains in the deserts of the Clans of Thiem.
