Rathram is less one nation but a melting pot of the remnants of many other nations. Dominated by jungle in the center and long coastlines, many cultures lived here isolated from the rest of the world.
In recent centuries, the more developed human and dwarven countries have begun trading missions here, splitting up the land that does not belong to them and greedily gather every treasure of the many they can find in Rathram.
