Stormcaster Staff
The Stormcaster Staff is possibly the most powerful artifact in the world. If someone finds it and decides to keep it, they'll become one of the most powerful people on Shireon.
The Stormcaster Staff was an artifact of the Goddess Atella, Ruler of Storms and the Sea, and was considered the most powerful artifact in the world.
Creation
A long time ago, before the Arrival of the Elders, Atella made a staff containing a rather powerful sea storm. She called it the Stormcaster Staff.
For aeons She kept the precious Staff to Herself, waiting for the right person to show up, worthy of wielding Her treasure.
The Stormcaster
It wasn't until AE 542 She managed to find someone She deemed good enough for Her artifact. A Siren, seemingly quite ordinary but a devout follower of Atella, was granted the honor of becoming Her Stormcaster.
The Staff was an important part in what happened during the Reckoning Storm.
The Function
The sky turned dark as heavy rainclouds started collecting above the Staff. A biting cold wind appeared from the south, making us freeze as we were wearing clothes suited for the weather that had been. Soon, rain started falling, slowly at first but gaining intensity until it was pouring down. Loud rumbles above barely had time to warn us before a bolt of lightning struck uncomfortably close to where we stood, deafening us.
The power of the Staff is that it summons a great storm at the location of the user.
Atella made sure nobody other than Her most devout followers would be able to use the Stormcaster Staff, just so it wouldn't be too dangerous in the wrong hands.
The Disappearance
As the Stormcaster was found dead, the Staff was already gone. Where it disappeared to is unknown. It might easily be stolen from the Stormcaster's possession when he died. In that case, it's still out there, probably stowed away without the one possessing it knowing how valuable it is.
Another possibility is that Atella has taken it back. If this is true it won't be seen in the world until She decides it's time.
