Kellion
There is nothing more noticeable on the night sky than Kellion, the moon that wanders the sky over Shireon.
In some places, the monthly cycle of Kellion might even be a matter of life and death. During the long, cold winter in Inmalenor, as the sun never rise above the horizon, the light of the full moon illuminate the snowy landscape, making it easier to see for the people and fauna living there.
Kellion and Lycanthropy
How could normal people ever understand the sheer anxiety we feel as the light of the full moon illuminate the sky?
The waxing and waning of Kellion is more important to some than others. In fact, to some it dictates their whole life. These are the Lycanthropes, or werewolves, as they're probably more known as.
Superstitions
Kellion is and has always been an important part of the night sky. As it waxes and wanes, the effect can be seen down on the ground. The ebb and flow of the sea seems to be more intense closer to the full moon than when the moon is new. Some people seem more on edge the fuller the moon is.
There seems to be more reports of people spotting the Underwater Shambler when the moon is full as well. Whether this is true or not is unknown, though if the myth is real it would be reasonable that the Shambler would be more active when the nights are brighter.
