Gods

"The first thing I've learned in all of my studies of the Gods is this: They don't have faces. They have nothing underneath their power, no kernel of self. Protean beings with no free will." - Heretic Researcher Leviticus Blue
Gods are the first form of life in the Multiverse. Each was given several Mantles, or Domains, at birth. It governs which powers they hold over the world. The larger the mantle, the less precise control they have is over that aspect of reality. A God of Rivers will have more control over water than a God of the Oceans. Each mantle gives both freedom and chains to a god. A God of Water may not influence fire, never will their temper flare. With this fact known, some Gods will trade their mantles, for just a taste of what has been denied to them. Not all of these trades are peaceful or voluntary. The gods who aspire to greatness will often coerce or rip away their competitors' mantles.   For a mortal to see a god is only to see their most recent incarnation, for they are largely protean beings. The constant switching leaves them with a common problem. All of them don't have a face. They commonly cover this in veils, masks or simply bare their essences to the world.     Each of the 10,000 universes was given a Pantheon. These gods were to guide the inhabitants, given free range to determine the population, geography, Magic system, Stellar Veil, Planes, monsters, artifacts, and other components of the world. The Demiurge of the Pantheon makes executive decisions for the collective if they can't come to a consensus. Once sapient life is seeded, they take a step back, but not before embedding their memory into every sapient alive into the populace so they can receive their worship. Thus, no matter how many beings are worshipped in the world, all worship will go to the gods who sculpted the world.

Basic Information

Anatomy

No two gods will look the same. Most look like Humans , for it's the most optimized bipedal form, with humans being everywhere in the multiverse.   The largest difference is how they display their face. Some leave a gaping hole, other weir veils or masks.

Genetics and Reproduction

Gods can't reproduce. All attempts to create new gods with each other have found that the first mother never gave them the ability to have children of their own. Some have attempted to create Demigods via relations with humans, but nothing good has ever come from this. However, "successful" (it's more accurate to say stabilized): Demigods have been created by a god infusing a mortal creature with a spark of divinity. Most demigods, when spoken to, call it a fate worse than death.

Growth Rate & Stages

Gods are infants until age 10, Adolescents at age 1500, and are adults at the age of 30000. After that, the god ceases to grow, and joins in the scramble of domains, until they are assigned to a world. With the advent of the Prima Materia, clogging up the world ways, the last batch of gods have been stuck working bureaucracy; each hoping to one day be part of a pantheon.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Most Gods feed off the mental energy of b'elief and prayer.

Additional Information

Average Intelligence

It depends. A god of knowledge will be more knowledgeable in many subjects than a god of war, but both are experts in their fields.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Gods can perceive the entire amount of information contained in a 1 LY3 (Light year) sphere about them. Gods of Knowledge or Divination can push this to about 500 LY3. This ability isn't blocked by anything, and even magic designed to avoid detection must be of the highest level to avoid the detection of a God.

Civilization and Culture

Average Technological Level

Gods were never technically savvy, rather their master of Prima materia made them

History

The Gods were created The First Mother. She was the first Titan to see the void she lived in and wished for more. Titans arose from nothing, lived with nothing, and did nothing before fading away. The Mother however, was the first to move and to grab hold of the void around her. she shaped, and soon, out the darkness She made a mate. His name is lost to time, but he was responsible for helping make the first
