Sodza has held leadership of the great dragons of Yenent for long generations, far beyond the Fell Calamity. This is often confusing to the people lucky enough to meet him, because Sodza is not particularly large for a ninyod afke, especially compared to Nis'ahkt or T'set. But the might of Sodza is in the mind, not muscles. He is considered one of the most intelligent of all the great ones.
Sodza is believed by many to be the patron of occultists, though it is also said that he does not support the use of magic because it is evil and wrong. It is likely that this belief grew from Sodza's ability to transformation situations to align to his will, seemingly with magical efficiency. Anti-occultists argue that this skill is simply due to Sodza's unmatched intelligence. But detractors and witnesses stand firm in their belief that Sodza himself is also an occultist, and even whisper that the Great One is able to manipulate the minds of the most powerful, without them even realizing it.

He is drawn to knowing all things, making known the unknown, and his profound intellect eternally drives him to gather more and more secrets and information. It is due to this ancient intelligence that nothing is considered impossible for Sodza. Whether it is through the immense knowledge he has amassed by centuries of reading, or through the keen edge of his clever strategies, Sodza always gets his way.
The Duotha claim that he has a particular fondness for their culture and will often work with mechanists and makers deep in their hidden laboratories. But the Sonnyu also lay claim on Sodza, saying that the Great One spends long stretches of time in their lands, though they refuse to reveal the dragon's reason for being there.

Vices & Personality flaws
It may be true that Sodza always gets his way, but that says little about what he is willing to do to get it. While staying within the general draconic ethic of respecting the innocent and ignorant, Sodza is a well known manipulator. Many rulers would give much to avoid working with Sodza, because they are never sure what is truth or not, or when they are being influenced unawares to do what the dragon wishes. Sodza, in the rare times he has been confronted about this, doesn't see anything wrong with lying to a tyrant or twisting the mind of the depraved, as long as good is done in the end.
Personality Quirks
Given his unquenchable thirst for knowledge, in the past it became custom to bring a gift of knowledge as a token of goodwill to Sodza. However, due to how old this custom is, Sodza now finds it insulting that a small shulte would assume that they had learned something that the great dragon did not already know. Indeed, it is only the very rare or very new that Sodza doesn't already know of.
