The Shadow

Judge, Head Priest, Moral Compass. The shadow is all of these. While there may be other judges in the capital, the shadow weighs all laws, seen and unseen with the express goal of bringing strength to the city, and its people.

Qualifications

There is an interview, made in the capital square. The Shadow may take questions from any land owning citizen of the Republic. The Shadow must answer all questions presented to them.

Appointment

A Shadow is appointed by their peers, until death. Only thrice in the Republic's history, have they been removed, once by assassination by the Light, once by political maneuvering, and once by council vote.

Duties

Modification of law. Maintaining the public worship of Seudon and the Light.

Accoutrements & Equipment

The Shadow tends to wear deep red, Deep blue, or Black. Due to the hot nature of the Republic, loose flowing robes or baggy pants are common outfits.
