The Burning Revolt was instigated by the emergence of the twin suns, which bathed the land in a rain of fire for 7 days, boiled the oceans and burned away the strongholds of the Fathomless Empire. All of landkind rose up under brave and courageous leaders, pushing back the Sahaugin menace from their shores and into the deep. This dealt the Empire a crushing but not mortal blow, and landkind has been ever vigilant of the coast in the 200 years since the revolt took place.
