Fprìzhouhang Kaaman
Fprìzhouhang Kaaman (trans. House of Zhouhang) is a former estate near Padenet that was previously owned by the Zhouhang family, who reigned from 830 to 935.
This was once their main family home, but upon the ascension of the first monarch from the dynasty, the estate became a summer palace and remained in such a state, near the pleasure town of Padenet, until the rise of Luan Sranten and the end of the Zhouhang line.
History
Originally, the structure was build as a home for the Zhouhang family long before they attained monarchial power. The Oida raised them to the rank of duke and gave them the home. When the estate was constructed, Padenet was a trading city and had yet to become the tourist and pleasure destination seen in the modern era. The Zhouhang governed the city and helped it prosper, using their home as a center of business.
Upon their ascension, the home became a get away, mostly used by lower members of the family while those closest to the monarch stayed in Leowit to rule. As such, there was always a member of the royal family in residence there.
They continued to assist in the development of the city, but as the corruption of the dynasty grew, Padenet also turned toward a place not just for businesses, but also a destination for luxury. Along with this, a black market developed as well, secretly funded by the Zhouhang, who had, by this point, made alliances with several early cartels around the continent.
When the dynasty was deposed, Luan led troops into Padenet with the intention of clearing out the criminals. He succeeded only for a short time, but was able to corner the remaining Zhouhang and ultimately kill them. After this point, the mansion was ransacked and a great deal of the treasures within destroyed as Luan believed they were the result of corrupt actions and thus tainted. A few historically relevant artifacts were taken back to Leowit and the entire estate burned in 936. The remains still stand.
Tourism
Those looking for something different to explore near Padenet will often go to the old Zhouhang estate. Several treasure hunters have dug through the ruins in search of anything left behind after the Sranten's massacre of the family. Some have been reportedly successful, which has prompted others to search as well.
Seraph Rae and Seraphim have both controlled the ruins at different times, using them as a stop off for drug handling or as a safe house for their people.
Currently, Seraph Rae controls the area and upstanding citizens are told to stay away from the ruins lest they become entangled in the cartel's activities.
