Theyosten
by Ben Merrick
Raiden Grekmef (a.k.a. Theyosten "Theology of the Heavens")
Night becomes day, and day becomes night. Stars wheel in the sky amongst quadruplet moons, constellations coming and going in a predictable cycle. In the world where myth, magic and legend are alive, there is power in the transitive phases, wonder amongst the stars, terror stalking the black of night. A loose and obscure gathering of people draw their power from these transitory phases, and from the twinkling patterns of light in the sky. The most prominent group resides in Astora, the druidic Circle of Stars. Another being the Order of the Black Sun in Thorolund. Finally, the Constellar Conclave works in small pockets, spread far and wide, to study, teach, heal, and protect. A loose cabal standing vigilant in the Twilight, warding the everyfolk from the horrible things that go bump in the night. Theyosten is a cleric of the Twilight domain.

Identifying Characteristics
In the engagement with the Jade Queen, she referred to Theyosten as "angel blooded." What this means exactly has yet to come to light.

Personal history
Raiden grew up in Lucerne, only a short travel away from his future temple. Growing up in a small family with his parents (Elyra and Bareant Grekmef) and his elder siblings (Annabeth and Sigrund Grekmef). A family of medical professionals, both magical and mundane. Raiden was closely tied to the family practice, and studied/assisted from a young age. His potential to understand and practice magic became important to his future, and drew the attention of the Eliuvian Observatory, to which he unwillingly apprenticed at for his developing years. While living at the Eliuvian Observatory, he apprenticed under two masters of the Constellar Conclave; Skywatcher Kariath, a dour, blunt and overbearing mystic, and Nightshield Nuvonis, a wizened fatherly figure concerned with the defense of the material world. After years of tutalage, Raiden took his vows for the Conclave, forgoing his previous names and titles for Theyosten, "Theology of the Heavens." Theyosten still sees his family and will help their practice when available, but has new responsibilities to uphold as he departs into the strange wide world.
Education
In his developing learning, Theyosten had two teachers, Kariath and Nuvonis, for the divine arts and weapon training respectively. Much of Theyosten's personality evolved from the calm peaceful nature of Nuvonis, but the art of battle never developed much further than self defense. Despite the bristly nature of Kariath, Theyosten took to the vague arts of magic and heavenly observation keener than any other study, proving a prodigious knack for harnessing the transitive forces of the Twilight domain.
Mental Trauma
Perhaps nothing in Theyosten's life had traumatized him near as horrible as his recent encounters with the Dark Dream. On their way to battle a night hag in the Lucerne Hills, one of the hag's minions battled the party, a banderhobb. During the combat, Theyosten was devoured and cast into the Dreamings, where for but a few moments he walked the desolate landscape of entropy and darkness, a bleak world. The domain of Twilight fights the shades and horrors of the world, and Theyosten experienced first hand their world, the world that he must combat steadfastly.
Weeks later, a vision was given to Theyosten of a penultimate force of annihilation. In a shadow wood, trees wilted in the wake of a towering creature of abyssal black with cold white fire for eyes. Theyosten stood defiant, but his light alone couldn't face the malice of the Nightwalker. And somewhere in the world, the Nightwalker haunts, and must be stopped.
Personality Characteristics
Motivation
Bestowed on Theyosten upon his departure from the Observatory was a set of 12 Labors, one for each of the members of the Zodiac. To become a complete member of the clergy, and be honored with a unique title in the Conclave, his character must be sussed out based on his solutions to the vague requests of the gods. The goals are as follows:
To be the Hunter (Silentir)
To love (Virgo)
To provide (Rievus)
To value freedom (Equinor)
To master magic (Draconis)
To be steadfast (Paraguais)
To be a leader (Leonitus)
To be fair (Iudex)
To value life (Phoenix)
To be hardworking (Tenebrium)
To be wise (Eluvia)
To defend (Palados)
