Ascending to the Eliuvian Observatory, the party is tasked with meeting the supernatural leader of the Constellar Conclave . At the peak, they are faced with a gynosphinx who challenges the party's mettle, showing the threat on the western horizon of Masovia as Svetigrad burns.

Leaving Lucerne, the party stocks up at Rockfield for a winter mountain climb. After a day's treacherous hike, they arrive at the isolated Eliuvian Observatory, spending the night recovering and reuniting with Theyosten's mentors and the cold existence on the mountainside.   Come morning the party makes good headway up the mountain before having to set up camp as a blizzard rolls in. During the night, Gwynadora meets Avverion and challenges him to a battle, notably refraining from using the wyvern's stinger. Avverion is able to singlehandedly defeat the wyvern, bringing her to heel and riding her above the clouds for the night.   The party completes the summiting, and after being met with nothing are swept into the pocket dimension the gynosphinx uses as it's lair. She tests the party's mettle, first herself and then sweeping them into Pandemonium to see how well they can handle extreme threats. Somewhat satisfied, the sphinx bestows Theyosten the Bow of the Unerring Comet. She then pierces the clouds and distance to reveal the west of Masovia burns, as Veliuona has finally made its move.   The party descends the mountain, as the smoke of Svetigrad is carried by the wind eastward.
