Personal history
Taeranil became Viscount at an early (for Elves) age of 250 or so. He wasn't even an adult yet when his father and mother died in a carriage accident. It was apparently not related to any foul play, but he has his doubts.
The County has been in his family for the last six hundred years, when it had been the spoils of a minor little war fought over territory during the earlier years of the Empire. It had once been ruled by a Baron Darfell, a Human that had made the mistake of raiding a neighboring baron's lands. That baron had been Baron Elossë Lantulo, Taeranil's grandfather.
Baron Lantulo had retaliated, and since he was also a mage specializing in Animal magics, totally destroyed Baron Darfell's cavalry and, subsequently, his infantry. It helped that Baron Lantulo's army was primarily Elven; their enemy didn't really know where the attacks were coming from until it was too late to fight back effectively. Baron Darfell's soldiers, once they had located their targets, gave a good showing, although it was too little, too late. By then, less than half of the infantry was left, and although they fought well and bravely, they were forced to surrender. The lands went to Baron Lantulo, who, capitalizing on his good fortune and over twice his original territory, became Count.
Taeranil's father, through political maneuvering (and a bit of blackmail and extortion) managed to become Viscount. Some shrewd business ventures (and their profits) also helped a great deal, greasing a great many palms.
Sexuality
Heterosexual, he is married to Anariel, his wife. They have been married for a century, and have a young boy, age 43.
Education
Viscount Taeranil Telpestirnë of the House of Lantulo was trained by the best tutors money could buy. While young and relatively inexperienced (for an Elf), he is well trained, a deep thinker, and, as is usual among Elves, patient. He has extensive training in the biological sciences, politics, literature, and the social graces. He even has a Human political attache whose job it is to keep track of popular culture and current events.

He is lord of a County, in the Duchy of Antonian.
Accomplishments & Achievements
He likes politics. He champions the causes of the Elves, and he could be called an Elven chauvinist. He's not very active as a politician except where Elven concerns lie.
He has tried to make himself as likeable as possible to as many nobles as he can through honesty and good reputation, which, so far, has stood him in good stead. He has been told on numerous occasions that it won't be enough, and that many nobles will stab him in the back regardless of how "noble" he acts. To his credit, he realizes this, and is aware that there could be plots that are aimed at harming him or his family.
He is known for his levity and wit, and unwillingness to take anything really seriously.

Likes horses and music. Tends to like throwing parties, with lots of music and dancing, usually at night, under the stars. He also likes Orcish and Goblish music, frequently featuring those style of musicians.
