Kormatin Solo Session 13, 8-31-2022, brutal climax of Borderlands Coup

General Summary

The coalition secured a lot of territory with the element of surprise, but the Uwcharedians were able to rally and raise an army to oppose the invader.   Narratively the battle centered around Kormatin, Brigid, Bendek, and Ragani an allied abjurer from the Barony of Bees fighting against the elite squad of battle sorcerers in a very difficult melee which eventually saw Kormatin killing their leader and taking his magical sword.

Notes

Battle Aftermath by the Numbers

182 Uwcharedian fighting men and women were killed   This includes the flying invoker, and about 30 of Uwchardian's limited supply of elite soldiers.   793 combat capable Uwcharedian nobles were captured.   6 Uwcharedian peasants died as part of collateral damage   972 Uwcharedian noble noncombatants were captured but it is believed that roughly 200 of them are soldiers who chickened out and are masquerading as noncombatants.   There are roughly 200 Uwcharedians that are wounded but stable and about 20 Uwcharedian peasants that are wounded but stable.   About 800 soldier’s worth of weapons and 400 sets of armor has been liberated, mostly from the households of Uwcharedians and the soldiers who laid down their arms.   An unknown party robbed the main Wooly Slopes armory a couple days BEFORE your attack   The Wooly Slopes peasants seem to view you all as liberators.   57 Uwcharedian peasants have asked to join your army. 2 Uwcharedian nobles have asked to join your army.     VIP prisoners include a Gorisonad Invoker, Idwal’s second-in-command squib, and two theurgist Children that were impersonating peasants but got ratted out by the local Wooly Slopes shepherds.     67 men died on the Fumayan side of the coalition, including a Deorac knight.   24 men died on the Borderlander side of the coalition, this includes 2 Red Stream Champions and two kalazotz   Of the dead Borderlanders, 12 of them were killed by the invoker who targeted his shots to knock down siege ladders and scaling ropes. A lot of the Borderlanders are itching to kill the invoker but the commander of the Red Streams refuses to be unchivalrous.   About 150 Fumayans and about 50 Borderlanders are injured but stable.   About 20 men are shell shocked, willpower depleted, or otherwise psychologically unable to keep fighting in this campaign even if they are magically healed   1 Borderlander soldier has been clapped in irons for attempted rape of a young Uwcharedian.   8 Borderlanders and 2 Fumayans have been clapped in irons for non-sanctioned looting. It is believed a few more subtle looters were not caught.   Most of your spellcasters are largely tapped out of mana and quintessence but none of them were killed or seriously injured (or if they were injured they got to be in the front of the line for magical healing).   Shortly after the Borderland side of the coalition captured the fortress, a counter offensive was launched to reclaim the tower, but it was laughably small and quickly routed with zero losses on the Border lander side. This accounts for roughly 40 of the Uwcharedian soldiers slain.
