Duke Eduard Palbuc, II (a.k.a. the Strong)
Duke Albas Palbuc was called "Albas the Coward", perhaps unfairly, perhaps not.
Not wanting his successor to face this, he named his son presumptive heir after his most badass ancestor Duke Eduard Palbuc the Grim.
Eduard II was one of the most popular and beloved Dukes of Palbuc of all time, beloved by nobles and peasants alike. He was certainly not considered a coward. Eduard II earned the nicknamed "Eduard the Strong" and there were often mutterings "unlike his father" but his father was secretly pleased by this comparison as he quietly helped mold Eduard's positive image from behind the scenes.
Eduard II was strong and handsome and took to the field regularly in his youth. Granted, he was rarely if ever at the front of the field but his father paid for bards to write exaggerated tales of his prowess and it worked. Eduard II was a gifted manager and a charming diplomat.
He had six true born children, three daughters and three sons. He had two bastards, both girls (1629) and (1644)
