Dour

The Northern plains of Pardisio is known as Dour. Dour is the most homunculus-inhabited kingdom. Dour Shore is overseen by Lord Nelson within the keep known as “Cliffside Castle”. Dour Shore is known as a hub for both sea and skyward trade. Cliffed coastlines wrap around both the west and east of Dour. The cliffs make for natural protection against seafaring and seaborn threats. Most of Dour is founded on sandstone, making it hard for digging or planting trees. The ground, though filled with grass and wildflowers is quite rough on the feet making the horse a near staple for travel. Because of this, Dour is mainly a temperate moorland with mountainous ranges scattered here and there. Western more, forests become much more prominent from the ancient sediments from the volcanoes to the south. Also in the west is the abundance of fog. Fog is a daily, if not weekly event in western Dour. The fog does have its advantages as it encourages travel of the otherwise light-sensitive Grey Orcs.

Structure

Dour is a monarchy by trade. House Nelson holds the title as the royal family. House Commonwealth holds the titles of Stewart as well as Archmage. House Dour holds the title of Stewart and is Keeper of the Crown. Outside the crown is the House of Lords, which rule over the land by precincts, and the House of Unions, which represent a respective trade.
