Viero
The religious philosophy of the Empire which is centered about the Wheel of Life that each person rides, life after life, until they finally manage to achieve a state of Lumiar and are ready to accept the great truth that lies beyond the Wheel.
The core tenant of the philosophy is one of acceptance of the reality of life. Viero teaches that each person chooses the life they are born into, so as to ensure that they learn what they need to know in order to take the next step on their journey towards the truth of Lumiar.
Mythology & Lore
Every spirit rides the Wheel of Life many times until they are ready to understand the great truth behind the wheel.
Divine Origins
The Consang people brought the religion of the Wheel with them to the Blutben. This worship of the cycle of life gradually replaced the religions of the Tribes and Rullara.
Cosmological Views
It is given to every man to live not one life but many, until his spirit comes to understand the great truth that lies behind the Wheel.
Worship
All templas have contemplation gardens which have a central alter where incense may be burned while meditating. If the garden is also a sabroch, the supplicant must at a minimum remove their footsteps after they complete their meditations.
A sabroch is a sand garden sometimes found in temples which a supplicant may rake while meditating on the life the supplicant has led and the lives that were lived before.
Priesthood
The Monks of the Order of Viero are the primary drivers of the religion.
They are supported by the donations of the faithful who come to the temples to meditate.
In addition, the monks offer scribing, reading and carrying of messages between temples as services.
