Downwind

Downwind is the poorest area of Sanctuary - across the Whitefoal River from the rest of the city. The prevailing winds in Sanctuary blow from the south-west, so Downwind is literally downwind of the rest of the city, meaning that all the smell of the city is worst here, especially since it is downwind of the tanneries, dyers and fishmarket in Westside.
