Scale Watch
The local town watch in Saltmarsh are known as Scales. For most of Saltmarh's existence there was no such organization or a need for one. Even after the Scale Watch's formation it was never an especially formal order, mostly functioning only when strictly needed.
Traditionally staffed by former sailors, retired adventurers, or tavern brawlers ready to exercise their best judgement alongside their muscle, the Scales were more volunteer than professionals until recently.
Today, under Captain Fireborn's leadership and control, the Scales are now an organized unit and a true part of provincial enforcement. While many Salts still count themselves amongst its ranks, the majority of watchmen skew to being Founders--Keoish veterans recently moved to Salinmoor as settlers.
