General Physical Condition
He is a tall, well built man hardened from decades of military service. If his age is starting to catch up to him he doesn't let it show. He is legendary among Imperial soldiers for his skill in mounted combat and regularly demonstrates it.

Personal history
Coming from a long blood line of noble fierce warriors whom have served the Tenchō royals and shoguns, it was more than just in his blood it was in his every fiber of his being to be a paragon of honor. He commands the largest army of samurai in Sakura known as the Sakata or sometimes referred to as the 'Golden Calvary'. A man when he spoke he always spoke to the point regardless if it would be seen as to brash or harsh, he ruled his people not so much with an iron fist but rather a clear set of old codes passed down from generation to generation. Those around him like his subjects, soldiers, or even the lower class peasants knew their place to never speak out of turn as he had cultivated a strong and firm presence of leadership among them. Despite his stoic and masculine demeanor he was not a man whose ego was his weakness as he always honored and showed respect to those whom best him in combat, even a strategy game and more.

Motivation
Sakata, Isoroku is motivated primarily by honor and duty to his Empress. He appears to care very little for politics or how others might perceive him.

Contacts & Relations
Sakata Isoroku holds the absolute respect and loyalty of the men that serve under him. He is not one to have many close friendships but there are a handful of his most skilled retainers he enjoys sparring and hunting with.
Beyond that, he served in the Imperial Army alongside Prince Hozumi. The two men are known to have a strong professional relationship built on mutual respect but are only rarely seen conversing casually.
He is not known to have any lovers.

His wife is deceased. He has two sons who remained behind in the Celestial Empire to govern his realm while he is gone. He also has a daughter who is believed to be dead or at least missing.
