Kalasade Caverns

The Kalasade Caverns are a network of caves that have been carved by water through limestone in the Ithfaen Peaks. Several of the caves have been flooded including Kalasade Lake, a large chasm open to the surface. These flooded pools are home to strange creatures like blind fish, fishing spiders, mosquitos, axolotls, and glow worms which hang from cave ceilings about the water. In lower parts of the cave system, magma is pushed up from the Wayakeskwen and Grenedwr plate boudary, creating subterrarean hot springs and steam vents.
Some upper caverns have been discovered by Kalkekivi, which the village mines for building materials and quartz. The village has stopped mining recently because of tunnel collapses which are believed to be caused by ghosts.
