Character Story Synopsis

Conversion's Path Structure:
  • Conversion's Path: Intro Convert {Joash} LOC: Personal Chambers in the "Monestary"
Joash is a recently reformed assassin who hopes to escape his old life. He is frantically throwing a travel pack to "escape" from the city. He knows that he's going to be pursued for abandoning the "Animalites" assassination squad.
  • Conversion's Path: Intro Diety (and Larisa) {Joash} LOC: Lauch Pad for Pulse Rider
She is a sheltered noble fairy academy graduate being escorted home so she may work in the court of the Czar's of Verterzemlia. She is packed and ready to go. Sable fondly wishes ""Argentric's Blessing"" to be with them.   She is a graduating apprentice swordsmith. Her master was the one to develop the core-embedded maces. She is carrying her final apprentice piece as a weapon during their journey.   Other secondary characters that are a part of Joash/Larisa's group are introduced.
  • Conversion's Path: Finding Diety {Joash} LOC: Pulse Rider
Joash never listened to the teachings while he was ""on his assassination assignment."" He's finally reading and studying with an open heart. There is a concept that he is struggling to understand. He's abandoned the Animalist books that he studied before. Studying to pass the tests as compared to study for deeper understanding.   This is the block to his eventual full-acceptence of the Dracunum faith. Should be the same topic as what he needs to learn at the end before the resolution. Not ""Faith verses Works"" but ""Faith and Works.""
  • "
  • Conversion's Path: Initial Rejection {Joash} LOC: Pulse Rider
He finally has time to think about what his actions have been in the last 24 hours and how he has thrown it all away. Really doubts Argentric and what he's been taught. "Doesn't make sense." He doesn't know it but his iron woven clothing is preventing him from getting the "argentic-based" feelings.
  • Conversion's Path: Seed of Faith {Joash} LOC: Pulse Rider
Joash has never seen a fairy in full power or anger. Larisa shows this against Animalists on the boat. Along with the demonstration of the ""Magical Sword Prototype.""   This demonstration helps him think that there is more to the draconum faith. Even the things that he has seen during the stay at Trilenius and on the ship are beyond the ""naturalist"" explinations.   Animalites have attributed magic to ""gifts of nature"" and evolution and not the bestowal of gifts from a diety. They don't deny magic exists, but they believe that there is a more ""naturalistic"" explination.
  • Conversion's Path: Another Rejection {Joash} LOC: Pulse Rider
""If your god is so great, why did this happer?"" Joash complains as he thougth that life got easier with obedience. Divine magic should make it super easy, right? (Nope, but this is what the Animalites believe.)
  • Conversion's Path: Desire for Understanding {Joash} LOC:
He tries to make sense of what his happening with Larisa's magic and more details on the MacGuffin. He continues to study his scriptures and asks Larisa what they mean.
  • Conversion's Path: Initial Blessing {Joash} LOC:
They make it to the Embassy. There are a bunch of "cooincidences" (that aren't) that allow Larisa and him to make it to the embassy safe.
  • Conversion's Path: Believer {Joash} LOC:
Joash starts to see the small blessing that are in his life and he is a believer now.
  • Conversion's Path: Seed of Doubt {Joash} LOC:
Reverting back to his "assassin" skills to protect Larisa and get her to the next town causes doubts. It is sunch an easy way to get thing done. But it is really a bunch of shortcuts that don't help in the long run. (I'll need more examples of this for the book that make sense.) He keeps his iron armor and weapons despite how they may hard the fairy magic users are negatively impacted by the iron's presence.
  • Conversion's Path: Temptations {Joash} LOC:
The temptations are beginning to creep into his mind, * Feelings for Larisa (?) * Missing his old live and its patterns. * Doesn't feel like he has a place in the Fairy Society. He'll always be an outsider. (The Fairies are not the most welcoming of people to ""new believers."")
  • Conversion's Path: Sucumbing {Joash} LOC:
The failure of the "pinch point 2" causes the doubts about believing. He is believing that being a beliver means that things are supposed to be easier. If Argentric graced them before, why not again? Since they are having difficulties, he believes that Argentric is not blessing them. He hasn't given up the Animalist idea that the Draconians have it super easy and spoiled. Joash was wanting to have some of that but isn't getting it.
  • Conversion's Path: Old Habits {Joash} LOC:
Joash believes to rescue Larisa (recover the MacGuffin), he needs to become an assassin again. He believes that following the Draconium has lead to this mess. To fix it, he's going to be an assassin (rouge).
  • Conversion's Path: Rejecting Diety {Joash} LOC:
  • Conversion's Path: Torment {** DUPLICATE ** } LOC: ** DUPLICATE **
** DUPLICATE ** of "Dark Night of the Soul"
  • Conversion's Path: Revelation {Joash} LOC:
Something from Plot Turn 2 causes his ""testimony"" to solidify. He get's ""Argentric's Trust"" instead of ""Argentric's Grace."" You should strive for trust more than grace.
  • Conversion's Path: Leap of Faith {Joash} LOC:
He removes his iron armor and abandons his iron weapons. (The last vestiges of his assassin/animalist life style are now gone.)
  • Conversion's Path: All In Conversion {Joash} LOC:
  • Conversion's Path: Devotion {Joash} LOC:
Joash Steindahl stays in Veterzemlia, as a devoted folower of Dracunum and leaves open a possible relationship with Larisa Novikov Arrive in Veterzemlia's Captial - Orsk - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orsk

History

Novella: The Celestial's Path

Joash Steindahl {f.k.a. Jorah Dahlman} has been assigned to be a part of the crew of the Volarious ship in the Pulse Rider Corps. This is under the leadership of Capitan Artamo Decius.

This assignment was at the last minute and was made by Sabel the Peaceful [WASC2020]. The Capitan accepts the assignment but does not like the meddling from those outside the chain of command.

Relationship Reasoning

The private disdain Captian Artamo Decius has for Joash Steindahl {f.k.a. Jorah Dahlman} is due to the latter's lack of experience on a ship. Joash has no ability as a sailor. The Capitan has no idea why he is on the ship. He assumes that he's just another problem that was sent to the military to clean up.
